This page covers alhamidtourandtravel.com only — the website itself, not the WhatsApp number, Facebook page, Instagram account, TikTok account or X account we also use. If you message or follow us on one of those platforms, that platform's own privacy policy applies to that conversation, not this page. We are Al Hamid Tour and Travel, based at Office 424, 4th Floor, Park Tower, Shar-e-Naw, Kabul, Afghanistan.
The short version
- This site has no user accounts, no server-side database, and does not process payments.
- The booking and contact forms don't send anything to us directly — they open a pre-filled WhatsApp message on your own device, which you choose whether to send.
- We store two small preferences in your browser (theme and language). Neither is a cookie, and neither leaves your device.
- We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use the site — clicks, scrolling, session recordings — so we can fix what isn't working.
- We don't sell data, run ad-retargeting pixels, or share anything with third parties beyond what's described below.
Information we do not collect
This is a static website with no backend server and no database. There is nowhere for the information you type into the booking or contact form to go except your own WhatsApp app: submitting either form assembles a message from what you entered and opens it in WhatsApp, addressed to our number. Nothing is transmitted to Al Hamid Tour and Travel until you personally press send inside WhatsApp. If you close the WhatsApp window without sending, we never see what you typed.
Information stored in your browser
The site remembers two things locally, using your browser's storage rather than a cookie:
- alhamid-theme — whether you last chose light or dark mode.
- alhamid-lang — whether you're reading the site in English, Dari or Pashto.
Both stay on your device, are never sent to us or anyone else, and exist only so the site looks the way you left it next time. Clearing your browser's site data removes them and resets both to their defaults.
Analytics: Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity, a free analytics tool, to understand how visitors actually use the site — which pages get read, where people get stuck, and where a page's design isn't working. Clarity can collect:
- Mouse movement, clicks and scrolling on this site
- Anonymized session recordings and heatmaps of page activity
- Your approximate location (from IP address), device type and browser
- The pages you visit and how you arrived at them
Clarity sets two first-party cookies to connect activity across a visit (typically named _clck and _clsk), and by default masks text you type into form fields so what you write in the contact or booking form is not captured. Clarity is operated by Microsoft; see Microsoft's Privacy Statement for how Microsoft itself handles that data.
Fonts and maps
This site loads the Cormorant Garamond and Manrope typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google may log the IP address of that request as part of serving the font files, under Google's own privacy policy. Our Contact page also embeds a Google Maps view of our office; that embed runs on Google's servers and is subject to Google's privacy policy as well, independent of anything on this page.
Your choices
You can turn off everything on this page from your own browser: disabling JavaScript stops Clarity and the local theme/language storage entirely, and the site still works — it just won't remember your preferences between visits or record how you use it. Clearing your browser's cookies and site data for this domain removes anything already stored. We don't currently distinguish between browsers that send a "Do Not Track" signal, since there is no consistent standard across browsers for what that should mean.
Children
This site is a travel business site aimed at adults planning a trip. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects or how it's used changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We don't have a mailing list to notify you of changes, so check back here if you want to know what's current.
