Which group departures are open?

No group departure is open for booking right now. Our private tours can start on any date: tell us your dates on WhatsApp.
How does a group tour differ from a private tour?
- Dates: on a group tour we choose the dates, and you join. On a private tour you choose them.
- Guide and vehicle: the group shares them, so the price per person is lower. On a private tour they are for your party alone.
- Rooms: two guests to a room, with breakfast. If you want a room to yourself, ask us what it adds.
- Pace: the group moves together, so the itinerary stays as published. A private tour can be shortened, extended or changed.
- Who travels with you: other guests who have booked the same departure.
What is included in the price?
- An English-speaking guide who knows the region
- Private vehicle and driver, including airport transfers
- Hotels with breakfast, two people per room
- Help with the visa invitation letter and the provincial permits
Not included: international and domestic flights (we book and ticket both for you), lunch and dinner, and the visa fee.

What is a group tour in Afghanistan?
A group tour runs on fixed dates, with several guests who booked separately sharing one guide and one vehicle. Each guest pays a set price per person. Our other tours are private, with the dates you choose.
How many people are in the group?
The size is set for each departure, and listed beside it.
How much does a group tour cost?
Each departure has its own set price per person, listed beside it, and it includes the guide, the vehicle and driver, hotels with breakfast, and help with the visa letter and provincial permits.
When must I book?
Each departure lists its last booking day, which leaves time for the e-Visa and the provincial permits.
Can I travel on my own dates instead?
Yes. Every tour on the site can also be a private tour on any date you choose. Send us your dates on WhatsApp and we will quote it.
What if I cancel my place on a group tour?
Yes. Cancel 90 or more days before the tour starts and you get back everything you paid. Closer to the start date you get back a share of the tour price: 62% at 60 to 89 days, 42% at 30 to 59 days, 22% at 15 to 29 days, and nothing in the last 14 days.
What if the group tour does not fill?
A group departure needs a minimum number of guests, shown on its page. If fewer have booked by the last booking day, we cancel it and refund everything you paid.
